ALMIPAL ABA is a blend solution of sodium alkyl-benzene-sulphonate and sodium alkyl-sulphate. It is used in various industrial branches for instance as washing and cleaning agent. ALMIPAL ABA is yellow up to yellow-brown mid-viscous liquid of anion-active properties. Its foaming quality is at medium level.

Product manufacturing

For the basic usage as a surfactant ALMIPAL ABA is mixed up with about fivefold quantity of water warm within 30 to 50 ^oC. Originated solutions are just slightly turbid and adequately stable. Owing to the optimum representation of particular substances in the blend, exquisite cleaning, washing and emulsifying properties of the pigmented and fatty impurities are achieved. Above mentioned properties along with very good biodegradability destine ALMIPAL ABA for both industrial usage and formulation of washing and cleaning preparations.

1. Wetting agents’ formulation

As a mixed surfactant, ALMIPAL ABA is an appropriate active substance for the preparation of powdered wetting agents for mechanical but even for automatic washing machines. The structure of the used concoction on the drying tower may be as follows:

Almipal ABA 10 up to 12 weight units

Slovapon N 3 up to 4 weight units

Soap 3 up to 5 weight units

Sodium Tri-polyphosphate 30 up to 40 weight units

Carboxy-methyl cellulose 0.6 up to 1 weight units

Sodium silicate 5 up to 9 weight units

Sodium perborate 15 up to 30 weight units

OZP 0.3 up to 0.75 weight units

Enzymes 0.3 up to 0.75 weight units

Water, sodium sulphate the rest remaining to 100 weight units

Another appropriate example is the formulation of washing-dishes agent. In this process, the blend of ALMIPAL ABA and ETOXON 26% is the most common type of preparation featuring high efficiency and low price as shown below:

Almipal ABA 30 weight units

Etoxon 26% 15 weight units

Alvol AKD 3 weight units

Isopropanol 7 weight units

Perfume, dyestuff, water, preservative up to 100 weight units

2. Textile industry

ALMIPAL ABA may be suitably applied in following technologies:

2.1 Bocking: 0,5 up to 1 kg of ALMIPAL ABA to 100 kg of material

2.2 Scouring of concoctions, freshening, preparations etc.: 0,5 to 3 g a liter event. with an additive of salt

2.3 Pre-treatment of grey goods: 1 to 3 g a liter, event. with an additive of alkalis in temperature within 70 up to 100 ^oC.

2.4 Printing dyes: 10% aqueous solution of ALMIPAL ABA

2.5 Dyeing: 0,2 up to 0,5 g a liter

2.6 Washing after dyeing and printing: 1 up to 2 g a liter

2.7 Washing after final adjustments: 0,5 up to 1 g a liter

3. Cleaning and washing in various fields

ALMIPAL ABA is generally used for the preparation of washing and cleaning solutions in all industrial branches, where the need to get rid of pigmented even fatty impurities out of solid surfaces is evident. However, the application must not be hampered by relatively high foaming quality of the preparation. The dosing ranges generally from 2 to 10 g a liter of ALMIPAL ABA in 1 liter of cleaning solution.

Packaging, storage

ALMIPAL ABA is delivered in metallic drums with screw-sealed lid of a content of 200 liters or in other containers that have been discussed in advance. It is stored in closed containers at the places protected from direct climatic influences. The recommended storing temperature is within +5 to +25 °C. When the temperature drops below 15 ^oC it transforms gradually into paste-like form. On the other hand, when heated up to 20 ^oC it becomes liquid without any impact on the quality change of product. Homogenization is recommended prior to the initial use.

Transport

ALMIPAL ABA is transported in covered vehicles and is not subject to the ADR/RID regulations.

Warranty

If the product is transported and stored according to the above mentioned conditions, the warranty is 6 months from the date of stock-out.
