ALVOL L
used especially in formulations of preparations for personal hygiene, where its high dermal tolerance, high foaming ability and foam stability are utilizedProduct characteristics:
ALVOL L is an alcanolamide of lauric acid (INCI: LAURAMIDE DEA).
ALVOL L is used especially in formulations of preparations for personal hygiene, where its high dermal tolerance, high foaming ability and foam stability are utilized. In other industrial branches it is used as wetting agent in textile, leather and paper industry.
ALVOL L is a yellow-brown, creamy, viscous liquid transforming into paste-like consistency when temperature drops below 10 oC. It is limpid when dissolved in water and of non-ionic character.
ALVOL L must comply with these quality signs:

Product manufacturing:
1. Washing and cleaning products and products for personal hygiene
A stabilizing effect of ALVOL L on the foam as well as improvement of dermatological properties of finalized product has been evidenced in formulations of washing, cleaning and cosmetic products.
2. Textile industry
It is used as a wetting agent into whitening baths in oxidation and reduction procedures. When put into strongly alkaline baths it comes to decomposition. Dosage: 0,3 up to 5 g per litre.
It is also applicable when dying by all dyestuffs groups with the exception of reactive dyes. Combination with levelling preparations of cationic, non-ionic and even anionic character is also possible.
Dosage:
Winch 0,3 to 0,5 g per litre
Jiggers 1 g per litre
Appliances for dying of cross reels: 0,3 up to 1 g per litre
Continuous dying: 2 up to 5 g per litre
Improves and quickens the baths permeation into material during non-ironing, non-shrinking, creaseproof and stiffening adjustments and when textile bonding.
Dosage: 0,5 up to 2 g per litre.
3. Leather industry
Soaking of salted hides
Dosage: 0,2 up to 0,5 % and 0,1 up to 0,3% of soda
Soaking of dry hides
It secures more thorough and more uniform skin softening and shortens the overall soaking time
Dosage: 0,1 to 0,3 % and 0,3% of soda
Vegetable tanning
It improves permeation of vegetable tanning, eliminates sedimentation of sludge and leads to better utilization of tanning materials.
Dosage for back dyes: 0,05 to 0,1 %
Softening of suede leathers
Dosage: ALVOL L 0,2 % technical ammonia 1,0 %, temperature 40 oC, time 2 hours
4. Paper industry
ALVOL L may be utilized when releasing paper pulp and processing waste paper as an excellent wetting agent.
Dosage: 0,5 to 1 g per litre
